Install and configure

Engineers

Run Quillet with Docker or Helm, configure every variable, sign in with GitHub or Google, store files, and upgrade.

  • Run with Docker

Run the Quillet CMS from its Docker image, with Mongo and Redis beside it, and create the first account.

  • Configuration reference

The CMS reads 54 environment variables, and this page gives each one's meaning, its default, when you need it and what breaks when it is wrong.

  • Sign-in with GitHub or Google

Let people sign in with their GitHub or Google account, limited to your organisation, and close the password sign-up form to everyone else.

  • File storage

Choose where the media library keeps its files, on a mounted disk or in an S3-compatible bucket, and set the limits that guard them.

  • Behind a proxy and TLS

Put the CMS behind a reverse proxy or an ingress that terminates TLS, then tell it its public address and how many proxies stand in front of it.

  • Kubernetes with Helm

Deploy the CMS to a Kubernetes cluster with its Helm chart, against a managed Mongo and a managed Redis.

  • Upgrades, migrations and health

Upgrade the CMS to a new image with its migration run first, and read its probes and logs to know it is healthy.
