Command line
EngineersWork with Quillet from a terminal: sign in, sync a repository, back up and restore, and script it.
- Install and sign in
Install @quilletcms/cli from npm, then give it a personal token or a CLI key so it can work on your project from a terminal or a CI job.
- Configure
A .quilletrc at the root of your repository tells the CLI which CMS, project, environment and locale to work on, and flags and variables override it for one run.
- Command reference
This page lists every command of @quilletcms/cli 1.0, each flag with what it means and what happens when you leave it out, and the exit codes all of them share.
- Sync a repository
quillet init, push and pull keep chosen folders of a repository in step with an environment, so engineers can write content as files, review it in a pull request and publish it from a pipeline.
- Backup and restore
quillet backup writes a project's environments, documents, versions and files to one archive, and quillet restore puts that archive back, history and all, into empty environments.
- Scripting
With --json, --yes and five exit codes, every CLI command can run unattended in a script, a CI job or a tool that drives the CLI for you.
